On March 9, 2026, Dr. Nicoleta Simona Mar\u021bian, lecturer at Babe\u0219-Bolyai University, successfully defended her habilitation thesis entitled “The Relevance of Jesus’ Pedagogy: A Theological and Didactic Interpretation” within the framework of the Doctoral School of Religion, Culture, and Society.<\/p>\n

A competent committee verified that the requirements for initiating the habilitation procedure had been met and found that Nicoleta Simona Mar\u021ban had obtained a minimum of 608 points in the self-assessment required by the Theological Committee of the National Council for the Authentication of Diplomas and University Certificates. Diplomas and University Certificates had scored 1420.11 points out of a minimum of 608 points required in the self-assessment prescribed by the Theological Committee of the National Council for the Authentication of Diplomas and University Certificates, thereby qualifying her to defend her habilitation thesis.
\nThe Ministry of Education approved the habilitation committee consisting of a total of five members (three regular and two alternate members) proposed by our doctoral school. Thus, on March 9, 2026, the habilitation thesis was defended before the habilitation committee led by Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Holl\u00f3, university professor and president of the doctoral school, and\u2014since it was a public defense\u2014before the audience.<\/p>\n

After analyzing the dissertation entitled “The Relevance of Jesus’ Pedagogy: A Theological and Didactic Interpretation,” the habilitation committee concluded that the work represents an original and valuable contribution to the fields of religious education and theological education.
\nThe candidate, Nicoleta Simona Mar\u021bian, has a consistent academic career, significant scientific achievements, and outstanding institutional involvement at both the national and international levels, including the coordination of the European Catechesis Group (EEC) Congress held in Cluj-Napoca in 2024.
\nThe committee particularly appreciates the organic continuity between the doctoral thesis and the habilitation project, as well as the clear guidelines proposed for future research. The thesis demonstrates the candidate’s ability to conduct high-level research and supervise doctoral students.
\nAfter deliberating on the habilitation thesis, the habilitation committee unanimously approves the habilitation work of Associate Professor Nicoleta Simona Mar\u021bian.<\/p>\n
