We are pleased to announce that doctoral candidate Béla-Romeo-János Pallai will publicly defend his doctoral dissertation entitled The First Century of the History of Romanian Greek Catholics (1912-2012) on September 22, 2025. He successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled The First Century of the History of Hungarian Greek Catholics in Romania (1912-2012).

Dr. Dávid Diósi, university professor (opponent) – Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca
Pallai-Béla-Romeo-János has fully met the conditions and assessment criteria for the award of a doctoral degree.
On the one hand, he has earned the credits required by the doctoral school’s training plan in connection with his doctoral studies.
On the other hand, he has obtained the appropriate grades in the partial examinations, as well as in the presentation of the written papers required by the research program and in the defense of his dissertation before the faculty.
Finally, during his doctoral studies, he confirmed his participation in conferences required by the research program and his publications in journals included in the relevant international database.
Based on the above and the results of the public defense, the Doctoral Committee awarded Béla Pallai-Romeo-János the title of Doctor of Theology.
