We are pleased to announce that doctoral candidate Lóránd-István Pénzes successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled Catholic life in Háromszék during the era of dualism on September 11, 2025!

- Dr. Máté Csaba Sarnyai, Habilitated Associate Professor (Opponent) – Károli Gáspár Reformed University, Budapest
Lóránd-István Pénzes has fully met the conditions and assessment criteria for the award of a doctoral degree. On the one hand, he has earned the credits required by the doctoral school’s training plan in connection with his doctoral studies. On the other hand, he has obtained the appropriate qualifications in the partial examinations, as well as in the presentation of written papers required by the research program and in the defense of his dissertation before the faculty. Finally, during his doctoral studies, he confirmed his participation in conferences required by the research program and his publications in journals included in the relevant international database.
Based on the above and the results of the public defense, the Doctoral Committee awarded Lóránd-István Pénzes the title of Doctor of Theology.
