The Synodal Forum on the People of God as the Object of Mission, moderated by Klára Antónia Csiszár, Pastoral Theologian, Vice-Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Linz, and professor at the Doctoral School of the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, was held on 9 October at the Mansion of the Society of Jesus in Rome.
In the framework of the Sapientia Free University organized by Sapientia College of Theology of Religious Orders Budapest, Dr. László Holló gave a lecture on 11 April 2024 on the topic of Religious Freedom and Catholic Autonomy in Torda.

In the framework of the meeting, our colleague Klára Csiszár will present the summary report of the first session of the 16th General Assembly of the Synod on Synodality.
Two professors of the Faculty of Greek-Catholic Theology of the Babeș-Bolyai University defended their habilitation theses in the framework of our Doctoral School of Religion, Culture and Society. Dr. Cristian Barta, professor, successfully habilitated on 19 January 2024 on the topic “Fundamental theology and dogmatics in the Romanian Greek Catholic Church united with Rome: tradition, continuity, renewal”, and Dr. Anton Rus, associate professor, on 9 February 2024 on the topic “The history of spiritual life in the Romanian Greek Catholic Church”.
As a doctoral student at the School of Religion, Culture and Society, I have the opportunity to get involved in student life at the Catholic University of Linz through Erasmus+ study mobility. In this context, I had the honour of attending the lecture “Vergänglichkeitsbewältigung” by Dr. Elisabeth Lukas on 18 January 2024, which was given as a guest lecturer at the University of Linz by Dr. Klára Csiszár, University Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
The XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops will be attended by Archbishop Dr. Gergely Kovács, Archbishop of Gulaforevo, representing the Romanian Bishops’ Conference, by Bishop Cristian Crișan, Greek Catholic Auxiliary Bishop of Gulaforevo-Fogaras, representing the Eastern Rite, and by Bishop József-Csaba Paul, Bishop of Timisoara, as a Papal Appointed Member. Klára Csiszár, our colleague, head of the doctoral programme of our doctoral school and head professor at the Institute of Pastoral Theology of the Catholic University of Linz, is the first Hungarian woman to be appointed as an expert.
The book with the above title is an edited version of the lectures of the eight-part forum series organized by the Faludi Ferenc Jesuit Academy of the Society of Jesus of Hungary between December 2021 and December 2022, published by the Faludi Ferenc Jesuit Academy – Jesuit Publishing House.
The volume will be presented by Professor Dr. József Benedek, co-editor, on Wednesday, 28 June 2023, at 19:00 in the Márton Áron Hall of the Faculty of Roman Catholic Theology.
On 28 February 2023, Dr. Attila Thorday, professor at the Gál Ferenc University of Szeged, defended his habilitation thesis entitled “Biblically grounded pastoral care” in the framework of the Doctoral School of Religion, Culture and Society.

13 September 2022, results announcement;
14 September 2022: submission of appeals (Str. Iuliu Maniu 5, 9:00-12:00);
September 15, 2022, 16:00: evaluation of the appeals and publication of the results after the appeals;
16-20 September 2022: confirmation of places, daily from 10:00 to 13:00 at the Doctoral School secretariat.
