Giurgiu Daniel’s public doctoral defense

We are pleased to announce that doctoral candidate Giurgiu Daniel successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled Destine de preoți ai Arhidecanatului Romano-Catolic de Maramureș, în oglinda documentelor din arhivele Securității (The Fate of Priests of the Roman Catholic Archdeaconry of Maramureș, as Reflected in Documents from the Securitate Archives) on September 22, 2025.

Doctoral students from the Doctoral School of Religion, Culture and Society at the 28th Spring Wind Conference

The Spring Wind, a multidisciplinary, scientific international conference, was held for the 28th time between June 20 and 22, 2025. This year, Semmelweis University hosted the event. Representing the Doctoral School of Religion, Culture and Society at Babeș–Bolyai University, three doctoral candidates—Éva Bojoievschi, Noémi Geng, and Sister Noémi Portik—presented their research topics.

5th International Ecumenical Conference – 26-27 September 2025

The cultivation of an ecumenical spirit is not only a challenge of the times for the monastic community of Pannonhalma, but also a papal mission. The Pannonhalma Archabbey, in dialogue with our sister churches, is organising the International Ecumenical Conference for the fifth time on 26 and 27 September 2025, in response to the requests of St John Paul II and Pope Francis.
